Most people choose scooters today because of the spacious seating, adequate storage, etc. except for long-distance riding. Some people use scooters instead of motorcycles as this is the trend. Whatever the cause, Jupiter is certainly a distinct market position and tops the scooter division.
The Jupiter TVS is a family scooter that is supposed to drive a pleasant everyday type of commuter. The Honda Activa 6G and the Hero Maestro Edge 110 are the biggest rivalry in the Indian market. The Jupiter features a range of components that make it more attractive than its counterparts, including the LED headliner in models, a handheld charging provision, a large capacity of 21 liters under the seat, and 12-inch wheels at both ends.
The Jupiter has a 1097cc air-cooled engine which is connected to a CVT transmission system that gives out 7.3bhp at 7,000rpm and 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm. With a weight of roughly 109kg, it combines a 6 liter fuel tank with an externally open lid for extra comfort.
Telescopic front forks and a monoshock on the back are used for suspension duty, while the brake mechanism consists of drums and an optional front disc at each end. The scooter's transmission style is V-Matic and has no gear function; it comes with only a manual gearbox.
This scooter is available in a large variety of colors in India such as Pristine White, Walnut Brown, Matte Blue, Mystic Gold, Titanium Grey, Matte Silver, Autumn Brown, Indi Blue, Sunlit Ivory, Royal Wine, Starlight Matte Blue, Starlight Blue, Royal Wine, Starlight Blue, Volcano Red, and Midnight Black.
The seat storage facility includes 17 liters and you can conveniently position your face helmet inside. There will also be a smartphone charge point. A fluid deck over the tail light is filled in by the fuel tank. After Wego was inspired, this feature was implemented.
TVS Jupiter is built for men and has several features suitable for men. The 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine is constructed on a TVS Wego base and offers reasonable quality. It features an Eco meter, suitable for guides both in power mode and in Eco mode. The transmission is V-Matic. This scooter has a fuel economy of 62 kmpl and a petrol capacity of 5.3 liters.
As the 110cc Jupiter scooter was also launched by TVS Motors India. But recently the price of the latest sheet metal version was Rs 63,497 which makes it Jupiter's most inexpensive variant. In the majority of the models, this edition misses alloy wheels. .The new base version of Jupiter is Rs 3,302 less costly than the base version of Honda Activa 6G.
The TVS Jupiter BS6 is available as five models, standard for Rs. 63,497 (ex-showroom, Delhi), ZX for Rs. 65,497 (ex-showroom, Delhi), ZX disc for 68,274 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and classic for Rs. 72,347 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The TVS Jupiter BS6 is available in five versions: A front disc brake was formerly offered, and now returns to the ZX disc.
New features in 2021 for Jupiter are, the Jupiter ZX Disc is fitted with an Incorporated Starter Generator technology that provides an all-in-one ignition key slot. While both features are exclusive to ZX, we expect that they will soon be compatible with additional Jupiter models.
Compared to the former halogen unit, the Jupiter BS6 comes with an LED headlight. It comes with a check-engine light as its fuel is injected. It also has a large storage space with 21 liters, and a large cubby hole of 2 liters at the back of the tab, and a cell phone charging point.
The TVS Jupiter BS6 remains with the same single-cylinder engine of 109.7cc as it used in its existence, but the engine is now injected with petrol to help it meet BS6 emission requirements. It produces 7.47PS and 8.4Nm, 0.51PS less than the BS4 variant, and remains the same torque.
The BS6 scooter has a weight of around 1 kg over the previous 109 kg. A traditional telescopic fork and a 3-stage preload-adjustable monoshock are used for suspension duties on the TVS Jupiter. The Jupiter has also been offered in the BS4 platform with an optional disc brake, but it can only be fitted with drum brakes on both ends, except for the ZX disc version.
The other two-wheelers in the market which are ready to lock horns with the TVS Jupiter are Hero Maestro Edge 110 BS6, Honda Activa 6G, and Hero Pleasure Plus. When we look at pricing aspects, it also competes with the Honda Activa BS6 and Hero Maestro Edge 125.
